A longtime resident of Johannesburg, South Africa, Laurence Grigorov studied engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he earned 4th-year distinctions for fluid mechanics and his final design project. After graduating with a bachelor of science degree in 1995, he attended the Wits Business School to obtain his postgraduate diploma in business management. Laurence Grigorov subsequently embarked on a career that would draw upon his academic experience as both an engineer and a business administrator.

Since 2004, Mr. Grigorov has served as a director with the Johannesburg residential real estate development and construction company Laurence Martin Developments. Concentrating on high-end, luxury projects, the firm develops living spaces that range from custom-built homes to cluster developments and apartment complexes.

Mr. Grigorov’s responsibilities with the company include turnkey services, such as property financing and acquisition, architectural design, zoning, construction, and marketing. His flagship projects include 24 high-end bespoke apartments in Dunkeld West and an exclusive mansion in Hyde Park.
